Get your turnover up. This means take a lot of strides/steps in a short amount of time. Ideally, you want to be around 150-190 strides per minute depending on what type of run you are doing. Slower runs 150 sprinting/kicking in races 190. I have seen far too many runners lose a huge amount of efficiency from slugging along at 140 or so. A good way to measure this is to count how many strides you take in 15 seconds during your run, 40 is okay, 45 is great. You may think bigger strides means more distance covered, but when your foot lands so far in front of your body, its almost like you are putting the brakes on. So, get your turnover up and you will notice a significant change in your pace. How many miles can you run without stopping?
when u get tired of running . think or something or i think or myself running with confince with my head up haha. i sometimes close my eyes for a couple secondsIf you're just starting to run, take it slow. The best thing you can do for your long-term success would be to take it one step at a time. So many people try to do too much too soon and end up getting disappointed or injured. Write yourself a workout plan (like the one on the link below) and gradually build up to where you want to be. Sign up for some races in the Spring and enjoy!! Best of luck.
After i ran like 3 miles my legs get hurt.?
keep your strides long, I'm assuming your asking for competitive running, aka track, they make special running shoes that really lighten yout feet, any sports store should carry them, they come with cleets(sp?) detatchable incase your track cannot have them, also streatch alot! it is very easy to pull or tear something without streatching properly, asside from that, don't just run durring track practice, run alot, it will build up your endurance and help you run longer and faster (practicing with weights will help you go faster in competition)What are some strong workouts so your in really good shape for a decathlon?
This is a general question, do you know how far, i ran distance.Good shoes, and a soft track are always good.
I find if i run with a clock it helps to keep pace over the distance. I document my progress with my times over the month. Just do it, get out and get the miles behind you.
What's the longest you could run on a treadmill at one time?
motorvation, find it and u won;t need much else, everything is in the book..as for running, try take longer strides, stretching is important and keep a breathing rhythm with ur mouth, don;t be embarass to open it... otherwise no air, no run :)
it is better to start slow 1 mile a day for first 2 weeks the increase to 1.5 every 2 weeks. in lesser time :) by 10 weeks u should be able to do 4-5 easy. just don;t give up... thats 1/4 of a marathon :)
