I recently completed my 2nd marathon, and got a deep-tissue massage prior to the race. During the massage, it was especially painful in one of my inner thigh/groin areas. Now, when I stretch, I definately feel the pull. How did I injure this area? And (stupid question), is this muscle my groin, or inner thigh??

Most likely a groin strain, i strained mine during football practice.(ouch!!) I had to ice it for about 20 minutes at a time every hour. The pain and the groin might heal in a couple days. Even though you can't feel it, it's still there. So, take it easy on the stretching and pulling.
When you run in track, do you breathe through your mouth or nose?
It is your groin area, and you probably pulled it jumping, stretching, or slides. I pulled mine during basketball season, just do the butterfly stretch and it should help.
