How would i take the spikes out of my track shoes if i wanted to use them for something other than track?

There are small "T"handle wrenches that I call spike wrenches that will allow you to remove your spikes. If you don't have one, you should be able to get one at a store that handles running shoes.
I'm not sure what you would want to do with the shoes if you don't have the spikes in them. The soles are pretty hard- not much cushioning, so they wouldn't be real comfortable to wear to the mall.

Most spikes come with a wrench...if you don't have one, go to any running shoe store and ask them if they can help you. You could even use needle nose pliers if you're in a real jam.you unscrew them.
