Help needed!?

Im a running in college and almost every school has speedsuits for the sprinters which are pretty much just like spandex. They allow people to run faster and i dont personally wear one but i dont see the big deal with it. I always wore compression shorts under my basketball shorts in highschool. It helps keep the muscle warm and relax.
