I have a camelbak and wish to clean it out. I also want to clean out the water tubeand mouthpiece?

if you have a military post around you it will carry the cleaning kits and everything that you need for like 5-10 dollars, if not you can probably find the on ebay just type (camel back cleaning)

Am I running too much?

I don't have a Camelback, but I do have a Platypus, which is very similar. I always just use warm water and soap, and squeeze the bottle so it flows through the tube. I continue to rinse it until the water runs clear. Same with the tube. Then I just let it drip dry over night.
