When I run, I get a sharp pain in my shoulder. Any idea why?
Question:Within the first minute of running for me, my shoulder starts to severely ache. It's always the right shoulder. Whenever I tell people this, they always say I'm probably clenching my arms too tight, but that's definitely not it. I'm like a noodle when I run. Maybe I'm bouncing too much? [by the way, I'm not very good at running in general; I can't run for long or fast.]
Any ideas?

Who holds the record for the fastest mile ever run inside the old Boston Garden?
I know exactly what you mean. I'm a miler/2-miler and I get it occasionally when my coach throws me in the 400. It's just a cramp. You can try different things to make them stop as no one is EXACTLY sure what causes it. Try eating more potassium (bananas) on days that you will be running. Also, even if you aren't clenching your arms, you may have them too high. Straighten them out (noodle does not sound like good running posture) and keep them at a 90 degree angle at your waist.when u run u should be loose not tight. u might be pimping ur arms to fast or to hard. keep your head straight
How can I improve my 10 km mark, from 54 min to under 50 minutes?
try stretching your arms twice as long as u usually do and see if that worksIs it possible for me to run the 100 meter dash in less than 11 seconds?
I get the same problem all the time. I am a sprinter, the most I do is the 200 m dash. If you run distance try to loosen your arms while running, don't think of how much it hurts, think of something that makes you smile, not of something that is hard and tense like the race.I usually sing a funny song, it allows me to relax and enjoy the run, not be stressed. I used to run distance so that's the advice there.
For sprinting, well I have the same problem right now. It's also because your tense. Lower your arms, if you grip with a fist, it will cause tension, if your like me and run with an open or semi open hand it is mainly caused because of arms being to high.
Number one thing, don't be tense or stressed about running. Sure it's fun to win, but it's more fun to know that you had fun, did your best, and aren't hurt.
nerves
I'd go to my doctor if I were you. My sister had the same problem and found out she had a slipped disk in her neck. It happens when you run and keep your weight more on one side. You don't realize you are doing it though.
Not an of oxygen, but it's pretty much normal
