In gym i m expected to run 37 laps in 12 minutes. How do you do that?


i m not in good shape so is 22 laps in 12 minutes good? And i swim alot but still i m not in very good shape.

you definitely need to specify how long each lap is. i can tell it isn't 200 or 400 meters like usual.

Is it about a mile? If your mile is 12 minutes, practice a LOT. If it's more than that, thumbs up!
And tell us how big a lap is, how are we supposed to know if it's good without knowing how much it is?
Swimming doesn't really exercise your legs, mostly your arms. Try actually practicing running.

that's insane...I'm not saying this to be mean, but I honestly don't think it is possible...but it depends...are you doing this in a gym or on a 400 meter track? because if this was in a gym, this is possible...but a 400 m track...I don't think so.

Level of intensity on "easy day"?

How much does one lap equal? I would run in miles (try to find out how many laps equal a mile. A normal time for a person running a mile is about 10 minutes, for people that trained for running for example my-self my average mile is 7 minutes.

Track//need help to improve??

It would be beneficial to know how long a lap is. Its like asking you if the fact that I can run from here to there in 11 seconds is good or not. It is if its a 100m, and attrocious if its 50m

Injured and miss the team..?

It's hard for us to determine a good time without knowing the distance of the lap. Putting distance aside, you need to practice running. To become a better reader you read, to become a better driver you drive. To become a better runner you..you guessed it! Run! What you need to do to become a better and faster runner is start a regular running program. Here is a link for a training program for a non-runner who would like to be able to run a 5k (3.1 mile) race. Notice the program takes nine weeks. One of the challenges of becoming a better runner is not to do too much too soon as you will most likely end up injured. So take it easy and enjoy yourself.

37 laps around the gym in 12mins should be easy if you are in shape, I am guessing thats where you will be running as I don't think they wil expect you to do that around a 400m track in that time as that would be almost 15, 000M and an under 17yr old male athlete running a 3000M race runs it around 8:29 sec, 19yr and older runs a 5000M around 13:49secs
