In track and field you are correct to say you run hurdles.. however there are often hurdles in our life that we have to jump. When I come to a hurdle in life I look for way to go around it or if it is low enough to jump over it. When I was on the track team and in the hurdle race I ran the hurdles.. as a matter of fact you want to clear hurdles in track with a running stride those individuals who try to jump over a track hurdle in a race are the ones that lose. How do I get a faster mile time?
I say running also because u are not really jumping hurdles you are hurdling them...u jump the steeple chase ones though. I ran the 400 m hurdles and the 100 hurdles and u there is a difference between jumping and hurdling...High jump and long jump all have a specific goal u are either seeing how long or how high u can JUMP but with hurdles you are just trying to get high enough to get over them and still stay low enough so that u minimize ur time in the air ...and thats not jumpingIs 5 : 17 a good time for the 1500 M for a 13 year old boy?
well...it's a race to the finish, a running race. Have you ever heard someone saying "I jumped the 100m hurdles in 12.3" ? I think "I ran the 100m hurdles in 12.3" sounds abit better.I need songs for a track and field DVD... Any suggestions??
