The Extra Mile
I Run therefore I Must Be Nuts

anything written by Bill Bowerman, Alberto Salazar, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Grete Wiatz (sp?).

The Runner's Handbook
26.2 Marathon Stories
The Boston Marathon: A Century of Blood, Sweat, and Cheers

There are many more but start there and have fun

Do u wear nike free with or without socks?

Running books -- these may have already been mentioned, but Once A Runner by John Parker, Running With the Buffaloes by Chris Lear, and Pre by Jordan. For training books, I really like Daniel's formula by Jack Daniels. (yes, thats really his name.)

Running Magazines -- Runner's World is often joked about in the "serious" running community as Jogger's World. Its great for beginners, but not as helpful for someone who has been running a while. I really like Running Times. It has great interviews of professional runners and what a week of training looks like for them, as well as great articles on nutrition, stretching, racing, etc. It goes more in depth than Runner's World (basically, it assumes you already know the basics and so it goes beyond that.) Happy book/magazine hunting!
