How i can find out how far i have run?
Question:I am running the great north run in Sept. I am currently training for it running around my local area, round parks and all over the place.
is there a web-site that i can plot my route and it will tell me how far i have run. This would be really useful for me as i am only guessing how far i have run so far.
Any help on this would be great.
Thanks

I think there's something on the nike site. You could always use google earth. That way you can plot your route and then measure the distance
You need to run at the panjir...and then got a meter for u..till here

My nike watch has every possible display character filled in?
Buy a pedometer.I just ran a 4.40 mile in gym. I am a 5th grader. Is that good?
you can buy mileometers you strap to your leg which tell you the distances you run - they are dead cheap. What should i eat before my race?
Figure how far your steps are and use a pedometer to know how many steps you have madeThen do the math
There are a number of websites that can plot out a route and measure how far you ran. The ones I use are the Gmaps Pedometer (see Link #1) and the USA Track and Field (USATF) website (see Link #2). Both are based on the same program, and they are pretty easy to use. Just use a mouse to point and click your route.
In the case of the one at the USATF website, you can search courses that other people made, so that you can be inspired to create new routes.
look up the name of the race, then type it in to google at www.google.com it should give you a map and a description of the race.
Would anyone like to sponsor a 13 year old girl, recovering from cancer, to run the Race for Life?
you could also get a GPS watch that tracks how far and how fast you have run. You can get a decent one for under $100. A pedometer is good for walking, but for running it really doesnt work well.Another option is to simply drive the routes you like to run with a car or bicycle that has an odometer, and record the distances.
How to run faster in a 100 race?
Couple of ways,1. www.gmap-pedometer.com allows you to map routes in Km or Miles
2. Buy a pedometer, there are a number on the market
3. Buy a Gamin which is a GPS device that you wear like a watch.

What's the best way to train for a marathon?
you can get a GPS watch that will tell you how far you have run for like 80 bucks but there not that reliable because you loose your signal under powerlines or wooded areas. You can buy ones for 200-250 that have much better GPS and also have a pedometer in them just incase you loose you signal so if your willing to spend the money you should get those. Other then that your going to have to map out where you want to run.www.favoriterun.com
Your able to map the run plus it gives you balloons at each mile so you know not only the length of the run but also each mile marker. It's free and you can keep an account to go back to runs and change them. I love it.
Does anyone know what i good time for a mile run for a fourteen year old boy?
I used the USATF website to calculate all of my summer miles and it was pretty accurate and simple to use. It gives you mile and km markers if you want them too.Knee pain and joint support formulas?
The new nike ipod is great for that. Alternatively you could get someone to cycle alongside you with a pedometer, or drive and record the distance in advance. If you're running enough, you should be able to know your min/miles by fitness levels, and so if you run for an hour you know, within reason, how far youve goneIf you mean that you want to know how far you run outside, go to Google Maps Distance Calculator (see link below). Zoom in on the starting point of your run, then click in segments the straigtaways of your run (don't just click to the end point, because it measure in straight lines), so if you have a curve, click straight lines until you go around the curve). When you finish, it will tell you the distance you ran. If you want to know your pace and have timed your run, simply divide your time in minutes by your distance and you'll get your pace (mph).
