Track and Field Spikes (running)?

I am interested in buying some middle-long distance track spikes but I am not sure which would suit me. I am a 16 year old male, train 5 times a week and compete at 800 and 1500 metres (occasionally 5000 metres). I compete at regional and national level and have narrow feet. How do the shoes on offer vary with their support, traction, cushioning and weight? Also which are the most popular middle-long distance spikes? Adidas, Nike or Asics?

When do runners eat before running a marathon?

Asics are really good, just make sure u dont train in ur spikes becuase they loose their support and depending on the track rules u have the best spikes to put in them would be like 6mm.
good luck

I'm starting training again for Cross country running...?

It's really a personal choice- just like underwear, running shoes are a very personal matter! LOL!! ( I seriously hope you have a good sense of humor...) I would highly suggest visiting a 'real' running store- not just a sports store. Feet Fleet is a nation wide running store chain that have employees specialized in running, fitting runner's with the proper shoes, etc. It would be your best bet to try here or somewhere like here because figuring out shoes online isn't going to allow you to get a feel on the shoe. Try on a few pairs, jog around the store and get an idea if you like the feel and if they're light enough.

I ran track for 7 years and always wore Nike's but that's because they were a favorite pair and they were my 'lucky' shoes :-) I wouldn't base my decision off that if I were you!! try Feet Fleet and good luck!

For a 13 year old 5"6 female what are good times for the 100m sprint and the 800m run?

Alot of people with feet and the events your running go with the Zoom Eldoret II - Men's. Look them up on nike.com. I have the same foot type and they really work for me.

What is the distance around the outside track of a high school running track?

Spikes should fit like a glove. If you have narrow feet the only shoe I know that comes in widths is New Ballance. You need a middle distance shoe, one that has a heel with some cushion. You are not going to get much support from a spike shoe. You do not want to train in spikes, either use your running shoes or get a pair of racing flats.

Hard core training?

To me Adidas would be my choice. I recently got Adidas and ran my 800 and got 1st place. Really its good to have light track shoes cause then there easier to run in. So really get them comfortable and you feel like you can run in them. Spikes would really help since they help keep your balance on the Track.
