1. stay on your toes(literally)
some things you can do:
-go to a fast run for the first 100m until you are at a good position then give it ALL you got the last 100m
-give all you got the first 100m then if you are in the lead then kinda just fast fast run the last 100m
-just go full out the whole 200m
---make sure to stretch and keep water in you and if you are going to eat...eat something healthy and like 20 minutes before you race so you dont get sick

Diet, PRACTICE, PRACTICE
I'm not a coach, but I'd guess you practice by breaking up the race. First, just train on perfecting jumping the mark. Get someone with an airhorn and stop-watch so you can check your progress. Then, do laps at jogging speed, with bursts of sprinting every now and again. For that, carry your own stop watch and see how long you can sprint and try to improve that.

push yourself during these sprints and make sure to go all out on the 10th one
