Remember. when you run, with every step you take take, you have a force of up to 4 times your body weight on each foot. As for your stride, your body will tell you what is comfortable. Don't force it, work with it.
Good luck superstar!

reach with your legs dont do the fast walk thingMy oasis shoes are getting worn out. i use them for volleyball also. should i get another pair?
your gait is pretty personal, so it's up to you to experiment with time trials and form changes.Personally, I run with a mid-foot strike (as opposed to the heel-strike most people use) and it requires that your knees bend a lot. I've found this to reduce injury. I'd say that generally staying loose is a pretty good idea, but then again... running is an 'experiment of one' and what works for you might not work for another.
bend your knees...
visualize yourself running high knees or the high knee with a leg extension kick. exaggerate this in practice. it will take time but it will come around
It is very difficult to try and change someone's form. A lot of times you have to just allow someone to run the way they feel comfortable. I think trying to change someone's form is doing more harm to a runner.
