Why isn't ultrarunning more popular?

That is a very good time for your age, probably above average
in that age group. You will improve as you get older. Don't get hung up on just one distance. You may not be the fastest 100 M
runner, but maybe the best 200,300 , or 400M on your team; experiment. Give the hurdles a try. Also try a sprinter's field event ,like the long & triple jumps, you could be a natural for these. Good luck.

What is the college competition qualifiing time for the 200mts race?

that is a really good time for an 8th grader.

What is the fastest way to improve my running speed?(Sprinting)?

Take it from a kid who had success at a young age. Just keep trying to improve as you get older. Don't get hung up on times at young ages because you'll notice that a lot of fast young kids don't improve. Sometimes kids are slow when they're young, steadily improve, and become all-state by the end of high school.

Just keep trying to improve and have fun, don't worry about your times.

Cross country tips?

When I was young I could run a bit faster then that but you daon't have to worry about it. Just train a little more to run faster. You look at some kids that look in shape and they are half way done and are alreday panting and going very slowly. So it should be a good time.

Can a hurdler tell me about their college experience?

That is a good time for a 14 year old. Hopefully you keep at it and dont get satisfied with your times. That will keep you working!
