Is it true that if you are a female with a ring finger longer than your index finger that you can run?
I heard this somewhere on the television.

A few years ago, University of Alberta researchers showed that the higher ring finger to index finger ratio is correlated with physically aggressive behavior in men. Women do not show a similar effect. This is probably the story you heard on TV.It has been known for more than a century that the length of the index finger relative to the ring finger differs between men and women (go find a friend and compare). Other researchers found a direct correlation between finger lengths and the amount of testosterone that a fetus is exposed to in the womb. This is the basis for the University of Alberta researchers used for explaining their findings.
In principle, if you have a group of male runners who are about to race, you can predict with some reliability the result of the race. Again, it does not work with female runners.
This is an interesting factoid, possibly worthy of an Ig Nobel prize (not exactly an honor), but nothing to get all worked up about. Hard work and practice beats out finger length any day. There's no reason to try to stretch out your ring finger. As far as I can tell, directing my middle finger towards a particularly aggressive person (possibly a male with an unusually long ring finger) is far more effective in increasing my running pace.. :)
Adidas A3 Microride for Parkour?
No. That has nothing to do with anything..If you are a woman with a ring finger longer than your index finger it means you have more testosterone than women who have shorter ring fingers.
Men generally run faster than women, so I guess so.
no...people just made that up
