Help! I am a hardcore runner with mono!?
IT will help, but not a lot.The entire week before, pack up on carbs, but in healthy portions. Don't neglect other foods. In order for your body to be in it's tip top shape, you need a well balanced diet.
Drink a lot of water and snack of fruits an veggies during the week before.
Just try cleaning out the toxins and maintaining a balanced diet.
And the great thing is, you can carry it over even after you finish the Run.
Good-luck!
What are some good work outs for the 2 mile and 1 mile run?
As an athlete in training, your carbo intake will be higher than average. Just maintain the intake you have taken in your lead-up and you'll be fine.If you havent been training intensely, then, yes, have a moderate to generous dinner and breakfast, but dont overdo it. You dont want your stomach packed and your digestive system working in overdrive to process all of it. Also, some people cant sleep very well when they have a full stomach, so if thats you, then just keep it lean...
a 4.5 K isnt long enough to where carbo loading the night before (or the week before) can really help much.
Just eat normally, and drink pleny of water. You have a greater chance of dehydration than of running out of glycogen.
How long did it take to the Greek soldier to run from Marathon to Athens in 490 BC?
Consuming carbs the night before builds up your glycogen levels (energy reserves). Yes it's a very good idea. Some really good sources are pasta, rice, and mashed ptatoes. Like anything else, eat in moderation. If you were running a marathon I would recommend you start loading up 3 days prior.Does sucking a sweet/candy help while running?
