I have until october to get down to my time in cross country. my course is two miles. right now i run about a?

You should lose weight just by the fact that you're running every day, so even if you ate what you always eat, you would still stay at a trim weight. If you want to speed up the process, try eating healthier. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies, and stay away from sweets. You'll want a diet low in fat, but don't limit carbs because that's what you need for energy in races and practice. If you eat healthy and give it time, you should lose weight because you're definitely exercising enough! :)
Good luck! :)

Eating habits for athlete, HELP?

Its hard to lose weight when you are a runner because you weight may go up as you build muscle mass. Perhaps your focus should be on losing fat rather than weight and it will help you attain a more reasonable goal. Measure youself and record your inches instead of using a scale. Also, record your body fat and set a goal there. Consider other conditions as to how to improve your running time such as trying a different workout regiment or pushing yourself harder in practice. I found that using imagery also helped me to run faster and brought my time way down as the trick in track and field is the mind and what you think you can or cannot do. I hope that helps and best wishes to you in getting your times down!

Don't worry if you're not losing weight. You're building muscle mass. Don't worry about losing weight, I think you just need to be mentally satisfied with yourself because you DO run and most likely eat well enough to be trainning. I used to run, I stopped because I got injured. When i stopped, I lost the weight from muscle mass, and now I'm gainning, but in fat.

Long jump and sprinting tips and training for track!?

Well, it sounds like you're already doing pretty well. Keep in mind that most of what you're building is muscle mass, so I woun't worry too much even if you were gaining weight. One thing that might help is keeping in mind the type of food that you are eating. If you are eating unhealthily, it is time to change. Start trying to cut off on the soda and the chips. Rather, add in fruits and vegetables. No candy unless you have a problem that requires it. If you have already done all this, then you're awesome already, and best of luck to you. =)
