I am a 5'8 freshman girl high jumper and can't seem to get over 4'6 what can i do to improve??

What kind of an angle do i need? How far do i start running from? Where do i jump at? and How fast should i go?

Answers:

Why are running distances measured in km?

Running fast will not make you jump higher, but gives you enough momentum to pull your body weight past the bar. Jump when you are at the middle of the bar and pull your closest knee up into the air as high as you can and then bend your back over the bar. (you should have your shoulder parallel to the bar when you jump)

Try working out by doing squats and running stairs, it will develop the muscles that you naturally use for jumping.

What's the best running song of all time?

depending on what foot you jump off of would help a little. If you jurmp off of your left then count 7 or 9 steps on your right leg. It kind of hard to explain over this... better question is do you have a coach who can help you... the step thing I'm talking about it also used for triple jump, volt, and long jump
