20---to----28 above that is great

How do I shave seconds off my 200m dash?

Well the World Junior Boys record is 8.19m ( 26 ft 10 inches)
set in 1986 in Havana by Cuban Luis Bueno. He was 17 years 4 months old at the time. Given that the record has stood for almost 21 years I would suggest that is an exceptional jump for the age. If at 16 1/2 years you are jumping in the vicinity of 21-22 ft it would be very very good.
Average for your age would be 16-19 ft.

Why not do a little googling and see what your state and national records are for your age group. That will give you a better indication.

For some reason when i run i ALWAYS accelerate slow..but in the end i win the race for like 100m?

Athletes your age are jumping between 17 and 20 feet. I suggest checking out plyometric exercises. They help develope the fast twich muscles which help you run faster and jump further. Doing these types of exercercises will help tremendously if you truly dedicate yourself to a set program. Google 'plyometric exercises' and I'm sure you'll find lots of info. Good luck.

Running shoes?

A pretty solid jump for a junior in high school would be about 19 1/2 to 20 feet. That distance should do well in most areas.

What is the Clydesdale/Athena grouping in running?

well the average is probaly 16-17 and a good one would be anything over 18

2 mile cross country runner. I want to drop from 17's (which is o.k. at my school) to 11-13's by september

my brother is a senior in high school right now and at the last meet he jumped a 20ft something or another. That was actually his best jump ever and he placed 2nd. Anyways, he usually jumps around 18-19 feet.

About lifting and running?

sorry I'm from canada so im using a metric converter to adjust the distances.

I would say an average jump for someone your age would be about 16-17 feet.

as a freshman I jumped 19.32 feet. and as a senior i jumped 21.06 feet. It was good enough to take me to the provincial finals, so i guess a good jump would probably be around 20-21 for your age.

In university you can expect people to be jumping around 6.5metres- 7.5 metres which is... 21-24.5 feet.
