Track Team?
Um, I don't really know if they have this in a track team but how many people are in a track team? For example, I think you need ten people to have a basketball team. For soccer you need 11 to make a team and etc.

10 points for the correct and best answer.?
there could be any number of people in a track team it just depends on the events being ran and the number of people it takes but no cert en numberIs a 12:08 good for a in-shape frosh in his second time meet?
yeah, you have like 2-3 people to each event i think because at my school we have 100m hurdles long jump highjump shotput 100m 200m 400m 800m and 1600m and theres like 20 people on the team. There is no limit to how many people will be in a track team. Track practically has no limits. You can play in as many events and you can run as much as you want. In my Junior High track team there were only 8 people in it. High School 45.
Most meets limit the number of people from one team to 3 per event. There are usually 11 running events, but this varies from organizations. Some teams have a few members and some have many. The school where I coach has 40 students on the track team. Some schools have more, and some have less. Some meets limit the number of events each student may enter. So the answer to your question is it varies a lot.
Pulled a muscle...or am about to?
A track team can have any number of people, but high school track teams are generally large. You need people to sprint, distance run, throw, and jump. My team has about 40 distance kids, 40 sprinters, 20 or so jumpers/hurdlers, and about 15 throwers. I go to a large school, so my team has a lot of people. Also only a select few of those are varsity. Most people are JV.Does anyone know the 400 meter dash times needed to get a scholarship?
i was wondering the same. my high school has a lot, about 60 members. we have 4 teams, male varsity, male junior varsity, female varsity, and female junior varsity. each one has 15. so i would say 15 per team. the thing is we're all mixed up, we're one big family. once in a while people go from junior varstity to varsity and so forth. sometimes there's schools that we play against, they only bring about 15 boys and 15 girls. the thing is they don't have a junior varsity. now some schools have more than us. the advantage of having a lot of members, is that you don't get to compete in a lot of events. so you don't get tired, and perform better in the one race you will compete. my coach sometimes tells us that if we don't work hard enough, he will cut people out. he says it only takes 15 girls and 15 boys to win. i don't know officially the minimun in order to compete as a team, but i don't think there's a maximum. You can really have any number, but you want at least 25-30. Its best to have more so then you'll be sure to have enough people for all the events and in case of someone getting hurt or injured. My girls track team had around 60 girls.
