What running books do you recommend?
You need to eat a lot of proteins and complex carbs. This means eating pasta and fish. Fish is probably a lot better than eating any other kind of meat. Avoid fast food! Also eat a lot of fruits and vegi's. The complex sugars in fruit is a great source of energy. If you eat a lot of simple sugars your body experiences lows like you were on drugs. Here is a list of things I tell my athletes to eat.-pasta
-fish
-chicken
-cheese
-plenty of fruits such as apples, oranges, grapes
-plenty of vegi's such as broccoli, spinach, green beans (eat the greens because of the iron in them. Track athletes tend to get anemic (iron deficient) during the season.
And DRINK PLENTY OF LIQUIDS
- an interesting study has just found that chocolate milk after you work out helps you body recover faster. My athletes have found some truth in that.
- also on meet days drink kool-aid after you race (and plain water) to give you some quick energy after you run
Things to avoid-
-fast food
-too much red meat (pork and beaf)
-too much startches such as corn, potatoes, chips, etc.
-soda
-junk food
Hope this helps!
How long should I run a day to reduce my thigh's muscle mass?
it really depends for what kind of event but on average for the practices just concentrate on drinking lots of water and not eating too much before practices and if you have a race or a meet try to have protein two days before the race or meet and have carbs the night before it mostly effects long distance running but it would help in any eventCan anyone recommend a good website for long jumping?
drink lots of water or powdered or gradored and try not to eat sugar or salt it sucks the water that u drink from ur muscles. and no energy drinks makes ur heart use more energy then it need to. from experience. Are my times good and how much can they improve with a year os Cross Country?

Bad at running, can I train myself for Marathon?
You need to eat a balanced diet. That is, eat complex carbohydrates for energy, and protein to help repair and build cells. A protein meal within 3 hours after the training or meet is good. Drink lots of water.More Questions & Answers...
