1. Always keep your knees up.2. Pump your arms straight up and down, not side to side, that's a common mistake!
3. Cut back on the caffeine.
4. The day before, load up on pasta. I'm not sure why, but that really does help.
5. On the sprint, try to stay on your toes. Really.
Good luck!

listen to your coach, they know what they are doing.dont get disappointed if you dont win, especially if you're new at this. the important thing is to improve at every meet.
run your own race, try to beat your personal best time.
team practices are never enough, get out there on your own, especially on weekends.
just give it your all at track practice and do the warm-ups correctly and take morning runs.i have a track meet theis up-comming tuesday also and i do the hurdles, and if the sprong practices are optional..go to them, everybody could really use the extra practice.!

listen to your coach, set a reasonable goal then go for it. work hard everyday and don't give up. it's important to keep your form, eat healthy, and get rest. for the 400m try running fast [but not your faster] the first 100m, then even pace the next 200m [relax and keeping form] then sprint the last 100m at your fastest. work on endurance and speed. good luck.stretch before your event, jog a few laps, and do a couple workouts and clear your head and picture yourself in your events
