If you use the rail to put english on the ball you are said to what?

How do you shoot while playing pool?
Hmmm. You question is a bit puzzling. English usually isn't put on a ball using the rail. Now a bank shot is off of one or more rails into the pocket. English is usually applied with the cue tip being placed at a strategic angle to make the cue ball react in the desired fashion. A ball hitting the rail will only do so from the english applied by the cue at the time of contact. Now the only other thing I can think of that you may be referring to is using the bridge which is connected to another cue stick as assists in shots that cannot be reached by gently leaning on or against the table. I hope that answers your question. "Rack 'em up!"What is the measurement of a pool table?
Bounce it against the rail on purpose to put some spin on the ball.More Questions & Answers...
