Why is it that there are times i can run out the table,but sometimes i can't sink even an easy shot?

Lack of consistency is often a result of not understanding the fundamentals of playing pool. You'll notice that good players tend to play well, even when they aren't at their best. Good players understand exactly what they are doing when they are at the table, as opposed to just "winging it". I strongly recommend getting lessons so that you can get an objective opinion about what it is you are actually doing when you are at the table. It will help your game 300%. Best of luck. "Straight" hit the nail on the head...take some lessons from a certified instructor if possible..then practice-practice-practice.... Iam probably the last guy you would want lessons from but I probably would make a good teacher..we all know how to do it but can't apply it...main thing that I would tell you is to "slow down".plan your route with three balls at a time.when you make the first one."slow down" and plan the next 3.shoot the next shot.slow down and plan for the next 3.on and on you get the point..you might just throw out the 7, 8 and 9 out on the table.take the ball in hand and run them out...often times the other number balls go in easier but plan or get your brain to seeing the money balls....very simple plan right..as they say "keep it simple stupid"...GOOD LUCK ON THE TOUR!!Why does yahoo pool crash in the middle of a game?
it's rhythm ... even the top-notch players miss very simple shots ... and sometimes it seems that a low-profiled player in a rhythm could easily beat a high-profiled unlucky one ...Need to find LINE with more balls on the table?
Probably your state of mind at the time. It happens to me all the time. I found it helped a bit when after i had lined up the colour, i focused purely on the cue ball, not checking to see if my aim had changed. it helped a bit.I play yahoo pool and half throui always get frozen how is this?
mind over matter.focus..focus..focus.Eww.don't look at the cue ball, keep your eye on the object ball, once you know where you need to hit it.

relax...think of taking a shot on the table as shooting a gun. you see the target breath in exhale,hold it, calm down and shoot steady shots...not jerkyI too suffer from lack of consistency - I try to find patterns. I generally play better a little intoxicated and if I am in a bad mood I rarely play well. I find too that I play better if I am interested in the conversation going on around me.
For whatever reason you are allowing yourself to be distracted when you aren't playing well (or maybe you are moving the stick in advertently). If I am showing off or something, I will sometimes go to stand before I have really completed the shot and thereby moving the stick without intending to.
