Speech Topics on Pool?
Im doing a speech in public speaking and i want to do it on pool. But I dont want to do the basic speech outline where i tell the history of the game, different types of games, and then a few famous players and movies based on pool. I also cant do a speech topic on how to succesfully make a bank shot or something of the sort because most people in my class dont play pool. The speech must consist of 3 main points and then those points brought out in detail. If you have any ideas of speech topics involving pool please help. Also the assistence of a power point is being used and i have seen many pool movies if that helps.

Good for you. I know what you mean about not doing the basic speech about pool. What you describe sounds much like the section that Mike Shamos writes in the front of the BCA rules and records book. Very good, but done already. How long does your presentation have to be? You could maybe narrow your focus and talk about something like pool leagues. Maybe describe in detail your favorite game. This is a tough question. I'm not sure exactly what your requirements are. 3 main points for your speech, huh? Let me think about it and I'll get back to you. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.P.S. If you need three topics, you could describe the three most commonly played pool games, 8-ball, 9-ball, and straight pool. You could talk about each game's rules, strategies, history, etc. Just spitballing here.
