Im Looking For a Pool Table?
I live in lakewood,Ohio. I am sixteen years old and for the past month or so have been playing pool multiple times a day for a few hours each visit. The only problem with that is that going to play pool is becoming quite costly. I have money about,,,4 grand from work and want to buy a table of my own. I dont want to spend much more than 1,500$ the only problem now is not that i cant find a table, but which one to pick. I have been looking in papers and have seen a lot, but i dont have a clue how to pick a good pool table. I am pretty new at the game but already have surpast my friends who have been playing for years, anyways what should i look for in a pool table. I dont have a clue how to judge one table to the next. for 1500 you can score a Shearton by Olhausen , it has the same slate and rails as the more expensive models ,,,,,just the cabinet and legs are made from OSB ..its a good table for the money ....they can drop ship it to your house provided they dont have a local distributer, you may want to pay someone to install it though ...What is the miss rule in snooker?

Personally, if I could afford it I would go with a snooker table as I find snooker so much more challenging than straight pool or 8-ball or 9-ball. myspace.com/seaj25you never mentioned if your game is on a bar table 4x8 , 4.5x9 or 5x10 if you are going to put it in the garage keep it covered and yes over the years freezing will mess with it big time. Check the local newspapers and hit dog pile or tou cows for search engines that hit multiple sites there are tons of good tables for sale ask about the condition of the table when you start getting answers you will immediately know how much this person knows about tables by what they say judge your response about that table accordingly. If you plan to have the table for a long time and want it to have lasting value and even increase in value as well as play consistently good then I would get a gold crown Brunswick, maybe the bowling alley model with the metal lets as they take a beating better than wood over time yo will want to find a better place for whatever table you get so that it is able to be well kept from extreme condition and you will be able to play on t more often because of exact climate control.
