Check with Barley's Billiards...there's one on Peachtree Street NE, and another on E. Paces Ferry...they'll generally know of any pool tournaments in the area. (Since they usually host most of 'em...)
You might also check with Sandy Springs Billiards on Roswell Road.
If you're looking for a more "informal" tournament...the kind run by local bars, etc...pick up a copy of "Creative Loafing" and check through all the ads. There are lots of local bars that sponsor their own tournaments on a given night, and many of them advertise in CL.
