Im 19, am I too old to start playing snooker?
Question:I've been playing snooker on and off for a couple of years. My highest break is 35. Now i'm considering playing snooker on a more serious level with the intention of entering the circuit. Im going to university soon and plan to join the snooker club near there.
Am I too old to start playing at this level?

no, just as long as you realize that you have to put in hours and hours a day playing, and have to get in action games to get better and adjust to playing under pressure...just out of curiosity how well do you think you play 'safeties'...What all do i need to download play pool?
You can play snooker/pool at any age. Its all about hand-eye co-ordination and concentration.While playing pool online how do i hit the white ball?
although age isnt really important in snooker eye sight is - if it is poor due to age you wont be getting much better at snooker.IF your biggest break is 35 i would say forget the safty game and just play to pot and improve this side of things. I would say unless you can get breaks of over 50 on a ragular basis you will not be good enough for a local league.
The key is to practice as much as you can do. As soon as you can make the bigger breaks then you can concentrate on the safty aspect of the game. Perhaps the best option would be to take a few lessons with a pro at the club you will be joining. I did this when i was 16 - although i never made breaks at the time higher then 25, after afew lessons with him showing me my flaws (alot of them) i found it easier to make 50+ breaks. Although now i dont play much i can still make breaks in the 30's quiet easily. Im sure if you get some coaching you will surpass my skill level and you never know where it might lead. Just got to be very deadicated to it
