Is the much difference between a 7ft table and a 8ft table?
In New York, Amsterdam Billiards and Slate are VERY popular. Amsterdam was ranked best in the country.Up in Boston, you can go to Jillian's or Boston Billiards. Boston Billiards is less expensive and has a nice lounge-feel, but Jillian's is 3 floors, with bars, a bowling alley, TVs that take up the entire wall and I think a restaurant/dance club or something.
All in all, I would DEFINITELY check out each of these places if you're in the cities.

How to control the power option in pool games?
