Does "slop" count in 9-ball?
I know a guy who thinks otherwise. I'm looking for an official link to a reference that settles this - once and for all.

phespirit.info/games/pool/rule...Yes it does, which is why I don't really like it. Proponents of 9-ball will preach about how you have to be so good to control the cue ball, execute runs, use defense, etc. All of that is true, but then slop counts? Not very professional in my opinion.
In BCA rules or "Texas Express Rules"..as long as you hit the object ball first you can "slop" the 9 ball in and win the game.really hate this rule but that is it and the way it is.really like the "9 ball last ball in" version..and if playing for money recommend that this be the rule on a "hill to hill" game or that match end by two games...ie: the first one to five by two!!...sorta like in "ping pong" that way we both don't get to "hill to hill" and I make it on the snap or get a 1-9 combo to take your money away....the answer to your question is "YES"...slop counts!!
Where can I find a source for sexy pin-up girls playing pool, billiards or snooker?
Yes slop does count in 9 ball , as it does in a lot of games. That's why I think straight pool is probably the best pocket pool game to play , no slop involved. Higher caliber players rely very little on slopping a ball in though. It happens but not very often. Watch a match on ESPN sometime and I gaurantee you won't see much, if any slop going on. I know a lot of players that complain about sloppy play until it works in their favor , then they don't seem to mind it so much. LOL.More Questions & Answers...
