Generally one or more screwdrivers. There should be plugs where the screws holding the bumpers/rails are placed. Remove the screws and bumpers...this will allow you to lift the table surface/slate out of the bed. Be very careful with it..it's heavy and believe it or not can warp so don't leave it disassembled any longer than necessary.
