How large would a room need to be for me to have a pool table?
I want to surprise my husband with a new pool table, but I am not sure that the spare room I have available is a large enough space. What are the minimum room dimensions to accommodate play on a standard size pool table?

Not knowing the exact dimensions its a good rule of thumb to have at least 3 feet clear on each side.Is it possible to straighten my billiards cue?
A good rule of thumb is to take the length of a stick + (1/2)the length of that same stick, and measure that distance out from each bar of the table. Unless you want holes in your walls...Depends on what type of pool table you want
7' tables
57" cue 12'9" x 16'0" room
8' tables
57" cue 13'2" x 16'10" room
9' tables
57" cue 13'8" x 17'10" room
8 feet tables are considered to be standard
How move does one get on child support. my friend who recently passed, has left the kids, with me.?
Eightbraker and chingchang... are correct. I only wish to add that professional size tables are 9 ft. long. The most common size table in most homes is 8 ft. due to space limitations, and they can be a lot of fun, but the official size is 9 ft.
