Looking to find a new decently priced pool table (standard size). I'm not sure what price range I should be in...if you know of any good websites with decent shipping prices or any stores that are located in the NY area that would be great..Thanks everyone!

Walmart and Dicks Sporting Goods have good tables for cheap. These tables are really only available online as they don't get a lot of floor space in the stores. For prices in the $350 -> $700 range you'll get a good starter table. It won't have real slate, but most likely a slatron substitute. The slate playbeds is what really can make a pool table expensive. Have a look of something like the Mizerak Essex, it's one of the most aesthetically pleasing tables for home use in my opinion.

If you have a truck, most of these stores let you order online and have it shipped straight to the store for free. It might take a few days but you can save on the shipping costs. Pool tables are heavy though, it might be worth the shipping costs to have it delivered straight to your house.
