Does anyone know the name of the artist that produced a painting of a surreal snooker table?

Question:The artist was featured during the UK Championship 2006 on the BBC, at least I think it was the UK Championship. The image I am particularly interested in is the surreal snooker table which shows the balls are apparently melting and the snooker cue is positioned in the rest but drooping over it as though it has melted. Some information on the artist would be great or any links to info on the net would be ideal.
