Is there a rule in snooker that says if there is a foul on the final black then the game ends immediately.?

Question:For example I am ten points behind with just the black left. my opponent goes in-off reducing the gap to 3. Does the frame now finish without giving me a chance to overtake him?

If so then this would explain why professional players dont bother potting it if there is more than seven points between the scores?

How many reds are there in a snooker game?

If he goes in off and the black is still on the table then you can place the white anywhere in the D as in any other in-off. If he pots the black and then goes in-off the black is replaced on its spot.

So no, a foul on the final black in snooker does not mean the game ends immediately.
