Paul Newman executed this shot twice in the movie. once to miss it on purpose and then he hit it again after he set the guy up. the 8-ball is frozen to the side rail and the cue ball is frozen to the 8-ball. you hit the cue ball with top-right english with a fairly firm stroke lifting your cue while stroking so as to avoid the double hit. the right english transfers left on the 8-ball sending it in the direction of the corner pocket. depending on angle, the amount of english will vary.More Questions & Answers...
