How do you play pool?
Answers:
Nine ball is played with the balls numbered 1 through 9. The object is to sink each ball in numerical order, sinking the nine ball last. Each ball is worth one point, the nine is worth two. In competative pool, players have to reach a certain number of points before their opponant. In tournament play it often goes by games won-like the first to win eleven games, as opposed to recording points. A player may win the game early if they sink the nineball using the numbered ball they are hitting. For example if I am shooting the one ball, I can hit the one into the nine and pocket it, winning the game. Strategy is important in nineball, along with cueball control. It is a great game to play to practice banking, hooking, and cueball control.
Besides these two games there are other variations that can be found, and many bars have their own house rules. In an unfamiliar place it is a good idea to check what the rules are before play.

Like a chess match; the British version of the game is most productively played in a very slow, tactical fashion. Enjoy the reward of strategic positional play, snookering of opponents and the build up of pressure as you dictate the pace and direction of the play.In layman's terms; play dirty.
Knowing the cambre, pace and nuances of the surface and table is paramount and key is to never underestimate the opponent.
