Cue ball hitting stick ...?
I encountered a very unique situation and didn't quite know how to rule. The game was 8 ball, no slop, no last pocket, call your shots. Situation: Cue on just a little off side rail shooting at their ball just off opposite rail back into the side pocket. Almost dead on needed to use english of course. Hit the cue ball so hard that the person didn't have a chance to move the stick out of the way and hit the tip as he was trying to get out of the way. I mean it was like a blink of an eye! These players are not cheaters or "sharks" just above average bar pool players. What is your opinion? If you need more info on the situation let me know. I will add more details if needed.

For 8-ball billiards, can you hit your opponents ball(stripe or solid) just to get to your ball?
If I understood this correctly it would be a either an interferrence or a fault to the other guy. What are they doing with their tips on the table in the first place. If it isn't their turn they should of been curtious to you and stood back. Maybe out of the way too; some of those darn balls just seem to jump right out at ya! I think it is a foul on the guy that is not shooting. Any time the person is set up to shoot no opponent should not be near or one the table. Loss of game by the opponent not shooting at the time. Just a bit of warning . Allways make sure everything in the game is clean. Whether right of wrong allways let them have there way so the knives and guns wont come out.sould be a foul or wahtever on the person shooting, i believe you must pull the stick out of the way of any ball

Very simply it is a foul, by the most widely accepted rules, which is World Standard Rules.If these are above average bar players then I am confident they would be using these "proper" rules. Generally, top players will always use proper rules. This is one of the defining points of a top player. Very simply they are the best rules.

game an infraction must be caught for a foul to take place.
If your friend moved his cue so fast that you could not see the foul
