I work second shift and rarely have the same day of the week off, so league play is not really an option. I do play in local tournaments in my hometown. I'm going to do some investigating here, but as far as I know, nobody hosts a straight pool tournament. That would be my game of choice. The closest thing I can do is 8 ball. I like the way that straight pool and 8 ball make you think down the road about shot selection, safety play, runout potential, etc.
