The best cue i've ever had is a John parris exclusive it's more of a snooker cue but i use it for pool as well.lAsh shaft Length 57" (145cm) Tip size 9.5mm Hand spliced Ebony butt with four secondary splices of Rosewood with green veneers and a single-facing of ebony with a green veneer. Ebony butt 22" long with joint 16" from end of butt. There is an S.D. joint in the end of the butt which can be used with both S.D. style extensions.
Weight range 17.5 to 19oz.
But it is quite expensive, if your looking for a good affordable cue then just get a Ronnie B.C.E i've had one for around 7 years and there's nothing wrong with it , it will last forever.
If your looking for a bit more expensive around £100 then get hold of a cheapish cue craft or Lewis and Wilson.

I have a Lucassi - it was $300 and it is one hell of a stick...you could go a little more expensive and get a Joss but they can get very pricey.For 8-ball billiards, can you hit your opponents ball(stripe or solid) just to get to your ball?
I'm a Meucci man myself. Though I have tried a few of the Joss East/west with steel ferrule to wood combo. Very nice feel. Have a look at Cue Tech or something like that. Their cues are virtually indestructible. I believe Earl Strickland might still play them. Fast and smooth shaft, you'll like it, and very affordable.Are there any pool instructors in north ala?
The best cue that I have ever come across is the Schuler cue. Check out the website (www.schulercue.com). They can explain better than I can why it is so superior. They start around $400 and go up from there, but every Schuler cue plays as well as every other Schuler cue. I've played with many cues and my Schuler is truly unique. In particular, read the section about the special joint. This is the only cue I would recommend to my students. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.P.S. All of the other cues mentioned do make quality products, I'm not suggesting that they don't play well. It's really going to come down to personal preference. Predators, do in fact reduce deflection as they claim to. Personally, I think that encourages excessive use of sidespin and utimately makes it impossible to use another cue effectively. It limits understanding of what actually happens when a cue ball is struck off the center line. Cue-tec cues may not warp, but again, personally I find them hideous to look at. Jeanette Lee wanted to play with a Schuler but Ray Schuler wouldn't give her one for free. Strickland and Fischer are contractually obligated to play with Cue-tec cues. Again, they play just fine, but corporate sponsorship dictates what the pros use. I'm not looking to offend or contradict anyone here. Also, check the archives, I believe this question was asked at least once before.

The "Predator" is by far the best pool "stick" made..it offers the best or least deflection and a much more truer shot.of course it doesn't shoot by itself so I still stuggle.look up all of the things that one wants or needs in s cue and the "Predator" answers the questions everytime...had the same one for over 10 years and never had any problems...but for all it does, it does not provide an "automatic".you still have to shoot the ball!!...try one out and you will be really happy with it>I cant see pool balls after they are in the poket?
