I heard that metal jointed cues distribute weight in a cue more evenly because they become better blanced.?

Is this true that if you have a metal jointed cue the weight will tend to tilt towards the center more creating a straighter stroke? Also, do longer tapers or shorter tapers help to keep a stroke straighter in line? I think i would personally prefer a 12-14inch taper because i take slightly longer strokes, does this sound right? thank you

Does anyone know where I can get a John Deere pool stick with the Emblem on it?

The shaft end will almost always be lighter than the butt end due to shape. I don't see much point in adding weight to the joint, but it will come down to preference unless it is a large amount of weight.

But, putting the weight in the area between the grip (on the butt) and the bridge should make any variation in your stroke, away from straight through, worse due to added momentum of more weight. Nonetheless, I think it is over-analyzing the role that a cue stick plays into your stroke. If you have good stroke, you could play well with a broomstick. And, if you have horrible stroke, then the best stick will not correct the problem.
