In America, the top brands include Brunswick, Connelly, Olhausen, Diamond, Gabriels, etc. They're all very high quality. It's going to be hard to say which is the "best" but Brunswick has a reputation of being the most well-known and oldest companies for making billiard tables. The most common brands of bar tables are Valley and Dynamo. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
Diamond (opinion)...you might notice a pool room has mostly Brunswicks or something but one Diamond and it costs more to play on the Diamond. Two in my area do. Tight pockets, tough table.

I say Brunswick is most trusted.The pros play on Olhausen (I think that's it) so I would think them are good tables also. I have no complaints on my American Billiard 9 footer I had for about 25 years. I'm sure someone probably still shooting on it.

Many great ones are out there, but I settled on an Olhausen and am very happy with it. Any major brand is a safe bet, although I have seen custom tables made by lone craftsmen and they were excellent.Olhausen, Brunswick and Golden West all have good web sites.
