Snooker question?
what is and who and when has scored the most points in a single frame and has lost the frame ?
Answers:
BBC 2 SNOOKER? That woman adjudicator is HOOOOOOOOOT!!!?
I suppose in the professional game, a losing points total would be around the 70-point mark. Amateurs, who are most likely to concede fouls could get a much higher losing total. In theory, if one player potted the first 9 red blacks and led 72-0 and then missed. His opponent could pot the remaining 6 reds and blacks (48) and the final 6 colours (27) to win 75-72.
In a game with fouls, both players scores could conceivably be higher.
EDIT: I found this in Wikipedia
"The highest scoring frame in the Championship's history came in 2000, in the qualifying rounds at Newport, South Wales. Kristjan Helgason obtained four snookers against Rod Lawler, in levelling the score at 85-85, necessitating a re-spotted black. The resultant score, 92-85 to Helgason, is a total of 177 points."
So, the loser got 85 in that one LOL
