Forget whats the best pool cue to buy because everyone have got their preference. My recommendation is first of all tell the shop assistant your budget and once he pointed the range, have a few stroke with each cue that you like, the cue will choose you and you will feel comfortable with the cue in your hand. Thats how u pick a cue.( I am a cue seller)Note: Make sure you inform the seller of your budget or he will try and sell you the most expensive cue and convince you its the best.

I agree with some of the comments already placed on this question and just to add this bit to it. If you visit a retailer and give him your budget he will lose interest if that is not that high, a beginner should be no more then £20-30 pounds as they wouldnt know if they like the game or if they can play it well. if you are a seasoned player then the budget will be slightly higher. Say £50- 100. I personally play with a carbon fibre cue and has no weight to it at all, but others will like a bit of weight or even a heavy cue this is up tothe individual player. Try them out and dont buy the first one you try just to be quick in the line at the shop take your time and let the cue chose you and you it. Afterall it may be the only cue you ever but so be patient and look around in different shops too.More Questions & Answers...
