Of the current 33 tables in my pool room, there are 31 41/2' x 9' tables. The remainning two are 4' x 8' tables. Coin ops are usually 3 1/2' x 7'.
Regulation tables in the U.S. are 41/2' x 9'.
I wasn't aware that wal-mart sold a 7' table. If you buy one make sure it is a slate bed , anything else can cause you big problems. Pool tables come in 3 standard sizes , 3 1/2 x 7 , 4 x 8 and 4 1/2 x 9. there are variables but these are the most common sizes. Snooker tables are usually 6 x 12 and billiard tables are usually 5 by 10. Make sure you have enough room for your new table . Just add ten feet to the dimensions of the table , for example, If you have a table that is 4 x 8 your minimum room size would be 14 x 18. This gives you 5 feet of room all the way around the table which is enough room to shoot any shot with a standard size cue , 58'' long. Enjoy!
