American 9-ball rules...?
Question:what is the ruling in 9-ball if from the break you pot the 9-ball and the cue ball? do you lose or is it a re-reck or something??

if you sink the 9 and the cue balls..you lose..if you sink the 9 and jump the cue ball off the table...you lose...if you don't sink the 9 ball and you foul...ball in hand.Help me with this terminology.?
Actually you never lose if you sink the nine and scratch (cue ball leaves the table). The nine ball gets spotted and the incoming player has ball in hand.Wha is the highest possible break in snooker?
American Rules?.never heard of them...but depending where you are playing and who with the rulles may vary....Under BCA rules.the 9 comes back and gets spotted....your opponent gets ball in hand...otherwise anytime the 9 goes in after hitting a legal shot.even if you did not call it.it is a win...unless you are playing "call the 9" or my favorite..."9 ball last ball in"..good luck on the tour!!In regards to Yahoo POOL. Coming from a yank so you can bank on this one.The nine is spotted on the racking dot.
Two choices depending on tourney rules.
1. Ball in hand for the player who did not break. (most common)
2. Player who did not break gets to pace cue anywhere behind the breaking dot.
