Under BCA rules, if it's obvious where you intend to pocket the 8-ball, you don't need to designate the pocket. i just point and say "8-ball that pocket" its obvious. :DHi James, it depends on which pool u talking about, if its the ordinary pool game then u say the pocket or just pointed the nominated pocket you going for. But if u playing in Yahoo pool game then using your mouse button and simply click on the pocket you going for then take your shot.
