I need help buying a pool cue for my boyfriend.?
My boyfriend said he wants a new Meucci pool cue. I want to surprise him w/one for Christmas but I have no idea how to select the weight of the cue. The buying guides say to purchase between 18 & 21 oz..but I don't understand where to go from there. I don't want to ask him & ruin the surprise. Does anyone have any advice?

hmmmm that's tough,,,but he`s the deal you can buy a 19 which is right in the middle. Also he can have the sticks weights changed after he gets it. There are changeable weights in the butt of the stick,,so i would get a 19,,,and if he wants to change it up or down he can. What a great gift,,he`s pretty lucky.Wre can i find info on hornsea and district pool league?
talk to local pool hall owners...or check in your yellow pages for stores that sell pool cues. Those guys are usually very knowledgeable about different kinds,weights etcAnyone have a favorite Brunswick model?
if you go to play pool with him ask to hold the cue he is using and see what weight is stamped on it or asking him to show you how to play and ask him what kind of cue weight you should use and then ask him what he uses. you should get your answer without him knowing your intentions9 Ball BCA rules..is it a foul?
Check to see if his cue still has the sticker on it stating the weight. I doubt it, but you can check it out anyway. I don't think meucci has the weight stamped on the cue. You might try asking someone that he plays pool with or maybe the retailer or person that sold him the cue that he presently uses. Or if you are ever watching pool on t.v. with him you could say something like , "I wonder how they decide on the weight of their cue?" and he may tell you the weight of his cue. I'm sure you'll figure out something. If not just get him a 19 or 191/2 ounce cue. That is the most popular weight by far.What is a meucci ss15 pool stick worth?
