How do you play billiards?

One good tip. Billiards are spheres and balls behave in a predictable manner. You strike the top and the ball rolls more for the force provided. If you strike the bottom, it spins and slows and reverses. If you strike it on the right, it curves towards the left. If you strike it on the left, it curves towards the right. If the cue ball is too close to an obstruction, you strike it top down but giving the same curvation in the direction you want. If you strike it at the centre you want "power". The rest is just practice! practice! practice. This gives you the consistency.
