Why have my pms stopped working in yahoo pool rooms? e.g. social lounge?

I have antivirus and firewall, but these have been on before and i could send and receive pms in the pool lobby rooms. But now whenever i pm someone there is no response. I have tested this with another player in a game and it works in a private game in the main window. When in the main chat room with all other players i cant pm anyone. any ideas?

have u put a check mark in the options box which only allows messages from people you know ?
